To the road her 119esima edition of “Lombardy Meat”
The days 8, 9 and March 10 to Rovato, close to the Centre Bold Franciacorta there will be the edition number 119 of Lombardy Meat, national fair of the bovine meat. The fair is certainly one of the principal events in the year for the capital franciacortina and it recalls a little all the parts of the region and of Italy exhibitors suited the work and simple interested and made curious citizens.
The Fair will begin in the Saturday day on March 8 to the hours 9 and one will conclude the following Monday. Very much will be the activities proposed inside the fair: the 13th competition “El salam piö bu of the Franciacorta” to the tasting of typical products, initiatives of popular die that there will see involved, between others, the pupils of the primary schools to the shows of the pupils of the course pork-butchers of Rovato, who will appear in the preparation of the typical sausage of wether and of the home salami.
The culminating day will be certainly that one in Sunday on March 9 when, already to share 8 the juries will be pawned in the delicate phases of evaluation and selection of the present cattle.
The best heads (a male and a female) will be awarded in the afternoon in the hours 14:30 at an experts' commission in zootechnics, which will be given responsibility of assigning also the absolute prize of the 119th edition. As already happened last year, another 2 special prizes have been provided for the bovine races to double aptitude.
Inside three days expositive a relief list will be occupied by the present butcher's shops, which will show their "firstlings" of bovine and equine meat.
Between so many pack-saddles to remember: butcher's shop Guarneri (to whom there has been given the recognition of historical business of regional relief), the butcher's shop of Franco Lancini (teacher of the Ass. Pork-butchers Bresciani), the butcher's shop Marinoni, the butcher's shop Pelleri, the AB Meats, the trade union macellieri and the Consortium Chosen Bovine Meats.
The fair is also surrounded of numerous and important events. Saturday and Mondays will be 2 meetings close to the Civic Hall of the Cattle market; for the precision:

Sunday will be the pleasant return of the “Blue Train” with Milan Lambrate to Rovato.

Really in the large square in front of the church of San Michele Arcangelo (or Temple of the donor-on the Mountain Orphan) be been born - always on Longobard impulse - the first market reached up to our days thanks to manifestations like “Lombardy Meat”. A testimony of the presence of the market it is possible to see also inside the church thanks to the fresco of the apse, on which a group of sheep is clearly represented inside the enclosure.

Cara Stefania … thank you for the interesting historical excursus (I say it without irony) and perhaps really for the respect towards the history that this fair would be recalled and reorganised. There remains the fact that today looks after itself of a fair held in “pharmacological coma” several communal administrations of the last years. Less and less weight exhibitors, alone exhibitors forced for evident ties, cost of the ticket that compared with the values staircase “quality - price” is to say a little a madness (in proportion it costs less Tormented Horses, what, in any case, it offers more!) and then if we mean the things outside at the teeth … to see these poor beasts with slaughterhouse you load and unloaded in barbarian way a beautiful show is not sure. Then well the closing of this phenomenon comes from booth.

Creed that the tradition of lombardia meat no is cancelled by the history of our country.
When little I was going seeing the manifestation it was perhaps more living because so many animals could still be seen espostio, while it prays, causes sicknesses etc., shed becomes tuto the commerce ion and few heads move only for the prizegiving.
