Rovato. The Convent of the Announced one enters into the third millennium
The convent “Most holy Announced” of the Mountain Orphan of Rovato reaffirms the own nature of cultural and spiritual centre of the whole Franciacorta, opening even more to the realities of the territory thanks to a new system of “qualified hospitality” and a series of projects that will tie more and more the 15th century seat of the friars Mary's Servi to the social and artistic cloth of the West of Brescia. The convent rovatese, founded in faraway 1449 on the remains of an ancient cappelletta dedicated to Holy Mary Annunciata of some friars rovatesi and realised with the competition of the communities of the capital franciacortina and of Coccaglio given always in own Dna a double vocation: on the one hand the spiritual contemplation, other the laic and active service beside the inhabitants of the neighbouring countries. A specificity, that one of the Announced one, which on the last years has allowed to Frà Renzo, prior of the community, and to his other brothers to transform the convent into a field meeting place for Italian lovers and not of themes tied to the man. The great activism of the friars of the Announced one has recalled during the years the scholars' attention of the calibre of Alexander Dal Lago, Duccio Demetrio and Don Carlo Molari: names of showiness of the Italian culture that have switched the reflectors on on the convent rovatese, become so a point of important meeting for many cultural realities of the territory. In the September 2006, the Announced one has accomodated the participants of the course of high musical perfecting organised at the association “You to Cross the frontier” of the rovatese Mauro Mandelli in collaboration with the Municipality, the Musical Association Pasini di Cortefranca and the rovatese School of Harmony “Strickler“: a seminary of seven days that has gathered in convent 21 young artists coming from the whole Italy moreover at the Ireland and at the Korea of the South. The course has foreseen also four free musical moments opened to the public: On September 7 to 21 harp recital, on September 8 hours 21 galà instrumental - lyric, on September 10 hours 16:15 final concert of the pupils and at last on September 16 to the hours 21 great concert of the Orchestra “The musical afternoons” of Milan. The renewed interest around the atmosphere of the Announced one has made being born on the last times another phenomenon: that of single or little groups that ask the friars for hospitality for some days in the “attempt – Renzo says frà – to recover a part of that sense of us and of the life that today seems not much mislaid”. To reply to this new demand, the friars have given the road to important works in the house of welcome “Giuseppe Mary Ferin“, always used as guestroom. The intervention, only ended, has led to the division of the structure in two parts: the first one composed by about 25 places, will be dedicated all ’”qualified hospitality” external visitors. The second one instead of the birth of a new project of recovery dedicated to youth with heavy uneasinesses reinserire is socially that lavorativamente in the external world.
