Rovato: Sunday, June 10 throughout the Anpi Brescia on Mount Orphan for "Ascent of Memory"

DAY OF CELEBRATIVA "CLIMB OF MEMORY" AND PEACE, Rovato to Monte Orphan - Sunday, June 10, 2007
The Provincial Committee dell'ANPI and the "Table of Peace Consortium Franciacorta-MonteOrfano" as part of initiatives for the promotion of culture of Peace, Justice and Solidarity, organized together a day of celebration "Ascent of Memory" on Mount Orphan of Franciacorta .
The organization provides, at 8.45, the formation of two parades: a departure from Piazza Cavour of Rovato and another from Piazza L. Marenzio of Coccaglio, which ricongiungeranno in Piazzale del Convent of the Servants of Mary.
At 9.30 begin interventions and testimonies of distinguished speakers:
-- ViceSindaco of Marzabotto (Bologna), dott.Primo Gandolfi;
- Representative of the Jewish Community of Venice;
Dell'ANPI provincial-President: Lino Pedroni;
- President of 'Association provincial Flames Verdi: Hermes Gatti;
At the end of the interventions, around 11.00 hours, a single procession will visit the three boulders of "Ascent of Memory" placed along the path to the church of St. Michele: the first for the victims of April 26, 1945 column made by the fascist "Farinacci between Rovato and Coccaglio, the second for the Nazi massacre of Marzabotto, the third for the Shoah.
The day of celebration will continue in the afternoon, on the apron of the Convent, with the area of music for young and the market stalls in solidarity with many associations in the area.
At 15.00 hours at the cloister of the Convent of the Servants of Mary will perform the Students' Music School Strickler. "
Participants will have lunch at the nearby home of "The Finger and the Moon", or the bag with the support of catering at the Monument of the Alpini.
At Day Festivities are invited associations, families, young people and adults, for a moment of peaceful coexistence.
