Carnival Rovato 2008: Mary Poppins and won Betrothed
While Erbusco to the Carnival of Franciacorta enters the highlight today, Shrove Tuesday, Rovato pulls sums of the event organized Sunday afternoon to celebrate the event with traditional costumes, pancakes and confetti.
The initiative organized by the municipal saw gather in Piazza Cavour several hundred people who have made the shuttle between the stage of the official speaker Giorgio Conti and the nearby Oratory SGBosco.
As for the costumes, this year the theme was "The fabulous world of Cinema." The masks were divided into two categories, junior (0 - 14 years) and senior (aged 15 years and above).
For the junior category, the 1st prize (100 €) went to Patrizia and Matthew Lozza, thanks to a dress inspired by the protagonists of I promised spouses, "Renzo and Lucia." Al 2nd place (75 €) a group of 7 people, led by Luca and Diego Loda, who is remaking a "Harry Potter," the Maghetti famous for books such as the cinema. The third place (50 €) was won by Frederick, Martina and Marianna Bertoli, whose clothes were inspired by the recent animated film "Ratatouille."
For the senior category to 1st place (prize value of 200 €) was instead placed a group led by Rocco, dressed up as characters in the movie "Mary Poppins", followed in 2nd place (150 €) "Happy Days "Clan led by Elena Belleri. In third place (100 €), also has placed the family of Coccaglio Turnips, disguised as "Dramatic."
In many associations square of territory: the Alpini (see photo) of the local section of Rovato with mulled wine and tea, the Bersaglieri, the Autieri, Rovato Civil Protection and Rescue volunteers from Rovato.
