The U.S. daily New York Times has compiled a list of these foods, the Top 10 foods we should eat and not eat.
They are below, along with the main beneficial properties:

- Pomegranate against hypertension and anti-oxidant
- Prunes: anti-oxidants
- Blueberries: anti-oxidants.

- Sardines: omega-3, calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, zinc and manganese
