L’ultimo ostacolo prima della finalissima si chiama “Turchia”; l’incontro appare subito molto equilibrato e Marivin stavolta non riesce ad imporre la sua supremazia tattica finendo il tempo regolamentare in parità, uno a uno… questo almeno sembrava dalle tribune, invece l’arbitro dell’incontro (francese e già noto per episodi contestati ai danni di portacolori azzurri…) assegna proprio allo scadere del tempo un punto alla turca talmente dubbio che nessuno degli altri tre arbitri di tappeto ne hanno appoggiato la decisione.

Quindi svantaggio per due a uno senza nemmeno un secondo di tempo per recuperare la situazione, e la finale sfuma così.

Per Marivin è un duro colpo al morale perché sicuramente ambiva alla finalissima, già conquistata peraltro nell’edizione 2007, ma non c’è tempo per scoraggiarsi in quanto incombe l’ultimo incontro per la medaglia di bronzo contro la rappresentante svizzera che, vinto per due a uno, rende meno amara la sconfitta.

L’atleta del Karate Genocchio, sostenuta nell’occasione da trenta amici bresciani venuti appositamente per incoraggiarla, è tornata sul tatami domenica per la competizione a squadre, in cui si fronteggiano tre componenti per ogni nazione senza distinzione di peso; purtroppo la squadra azzurra subisce una battuta d’arresto al primo turno contro la Croazia (che poi vincerà il titolo assoluto), stessa sorte nel ripescaggio contro la Turchia.

Il medagliere conclusivo vede al primo posto proprio la Turchia con cinque ori, un argento e ben otto bronzi, seguita dall’Italia con quattro ori, tre argenti e sei bronzi davanti a Francia, Spagna, Germania e Croazia.

Spedizione positiva quindi per la nazionale italiana FIJLKAM, l’unica federazione ufficialmente riconosciuta dal CONI, che anche stavolta annoverava tra i componenti una nostra concittadina di cui sentiremo parlare per lungo tempo e che, proprio grazie a questi piazzamenti, si è guadagnata il grado di Cintura Nera 5°Dan.

Orgoglio e soddisfazione sono espressi da tutto il team “Karate Genocchio”, dal delegato provinciale FIJLKAM Roberto Armanelli e dal presidente regionale Riccardo Zambotto.
